John Paul Jones

John Jones, 70, of Pendleton, passed away on April 24, 2024. He was born on September 10, 1953 in Anderson.

John was a 1971 graduate of Anderson High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

He retired from being an air traffic controller in 2004.

John was a member of the Millersville Masonic Lodge, Shriner's, the Scottish Rite, and the V.F.W.

He enjoyed woodworking, watch making, genealogy, traveling, listening to music, and had a lifelong love of aviation.

John was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, George and Alma Jones, and his mother and step-father, Ruth and Don Foster, his brother, Bobby Jones, and his sisters, Barbara Kates, Patty Miller, and Maleah Whiteman.

He is survived by his son, John Paul Jones, Jr.; his sister, Peggy Norris; his former spouse, Connie Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with Pastor Chris Kellermeyer officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time.

Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
