John Joseph Schulte
March 19, 1931 — January 3, 2023
He was born March 19, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late, Stephen & Odelia (Parr) Schulte. Joe was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean War. He retired from Delco-Remy as an engineer, having traveled internationally to assist building new plants. Joe was a very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children, Mark & Julie Schulte and Patricia & Tim Layton; grandchildren, Amanda (Phil), Rebecca, Megan, Brent, & Corey; great grandchildren, Adrian & Zoey; and sister, Lee Bolzenius. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma (Hans) Schulte; and several siblings.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s name to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
