Judith Monzelle Franklin, 87, of Anderson, passed away on August 27, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 19, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana, to her parents, Walter D. and Ruby M. Carpenter.
Judy attended Anderson High School.
She retired as an inspector from General Motors after 30 years of service. However, her passion in life was singing for the Lord.
Judy enjoyed the outdoors: gardening, flowers and fishing.
Judy is survived by her four daughters, Candy Greenlee, Ruby (John) Swingley, Laurie Brough and Anna Addison; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Franklin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins and her best-friend of 78 years, Earline Jeffries.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Russell (Gene) Franklin; parents; son, Russell (Russ) Franklin Jr; son-in-law, Rick L. Brough; granddaughter, Lyndsey Franklin and two brothers, Gerald and David Carpenter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 08, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday, September 09, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
Services will follow visitation on Tuesday, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Marvin Johnson officiating.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and/or Greater Light Church.
