Judith K. Harper-Martin

Judith Katherine Harper-Martin, a native of LaFontaine, IN and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL, on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the age of 84.

Judith was born on December 12, 1938, in Marion, IN. She attended LaFontaine, IN school system and Purdue University. She was a member of the Indiana Association of Educational Office Personnel. Judith was a bookkeeper and worked at Pendleton Middle School, Pendleton, IN, Mobile Bus Maintenance, Spanish Fort, AL and Gulf Coast Drive Trane, Spanish Fort, AL.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, camping, eating out, flea markets, playing cards and sewing.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Harper and Signa Marshall Harper, and brother, John Harper.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lewis Martin; her children, Perry Martin of Bay Minette, AL, and Katherine (Tanner) of Edgewood, IN; grandsons, Joshawa (Elizabeth) Martin, and Nicholas (Valerie) Martin; great-grandchildren, Shyann, Blaze, Ranger, Phoenix, and Raya Martin; two sisters, Regina (Terry) Hipple and June (Ned) Lindsay; sister-in law, Ann Martin (Steve) Redding; and three nieces and one nephew.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, on Thursday, June 29, 2023. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 3:30 p.m.

Interment will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN at a later date.
