Julene Billings

Julene Billings, 83, of Anderson, passed away on August 25, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1939, in Anderson, the daughter of Lester and Eddith (Sullivan) Gaw.

Julene was a 1957 graduate of Anderson High School and attended Anderson College. Julene was still active with her Class of 1957 classmates.

She had been a beautician, working for Mary's Beauty Salon on East 8th Street.

Julene was an active member of the Madison County Home Extension Club.

She loved collecting dolls and going to rummage sales. Julene enjoyed growing flowers, red geraniums being her favorite.

Julene was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Dustin Billings.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Andrew Billings; her children, Brent Billings and Brett Billings; her granddaughter, Carman Gilbert; her great-granddaughter, Iris Gilbert; her brother, Larry Gaw (Doris); and her nephew, Ryan Gaw.

Services will be on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with visitation from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.

Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park.
