Karen Louise Sale, 86, of Anderson, passed away on August 12, 2026, at the her home in Noblesville, Indiana, surrounded by her three loving children. She was born on May 5, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to her parents, Princess and Harold Davidson.
Karen obtained her Bachelors Degree from Ball State University and worked as a Medical Technologist for St. John's Hospital until her retirement.
It was at Ball State where she met her husband, Jerry Wayne Sale, whom she was married to for 60 years until his passing in 2021.
Karen and Jerry, were Indianapolis Colts Season Ticket Members for more than 40 years. She continued to hold her tickets and go to games until her passing. Together, they attended more than 300 Colts home games, as well as two Super Bowls. She was an active member of her Christian community and cherished attending her Tuesday Bible study. She also loved spending time with her sisters, especially enjoying lunch together at Daddy Jack’s in Indianapolis.
Karen is survived by her three children, Teresa Kay Mattingly, Kelly Ann (Tim) Bell and Christopher Wayne (Gina Marchino) Sale; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, Indiana, 46013.
Services will follow visitation on Tuesday, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Ned Clark officiating.
Entombment will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
