Kelly Jo Cook (McKeand), 64, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Fishers,
Indiana, surrounded by her children, brothers, and sisters. Born on October 8, 1960, in
Anderson, Indiana, Kelly brought spunk and laughter to all who knew her.
A graduate of Madison Heights High School, Kelly went on to a career as a court
reporter at the Madison County Government Center and managed a group home for
developmentally disabled individuals.
Kelly’s vibrant personality was unforgettable. Known for her spunky spirit and quick wit,
she had a gift for making others laugh and feel welcome. Her playful orneriness added
to her charm…never far from a silly remark or joyful smile that lit up the room.
Family was at the heart of Kelly’s world. She found immense pride in her children and
grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to share their accomplishments with
anyone willing to listen. Her love for them was boundless.
She is survived by her daughter, Kendra (Mike) Eicher; her son, Cameron (Tracy)
Colvill; and four cherished grandchildren: Oliver, Charlie, Elliott, and Cohen. Kelly also
leaves behind her sisters Kara Coggins and Lori Strauss; brothers, Kent (Mary Kay)
McKeand and Todd Armstrong and her stepmother, Judi McKeand—all of whom hold
dear the countless memories shaped by her humor and heart.
Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" McKeand and Myrna
McKeand.
A Celebration of Kelly’s Life will be held on October 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Falls
