He spent his career working as a millwright at GM in Anderson and retired in 1993. Kenny was an avid bowler for much of his life. He was a member of the Fellowship Lodge, the Murat Temple, The Scottish Rite, Madison County Shrine Club and the American Legion.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sylvia Shock; daughter, Debra Shock Neel (Tim Hill); son, Kenny Shock Jr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Leslie Smith (Nick), Christopher Shock (Brandi), Connor Neel (Maddie Schade), Kerrick Shock, and Brianna Shock; many great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; and sisters, Bethel Lennis, Marilyn Keats (Daren), and Judy Koons (Rex). He was preceded in death by his parents, Essie and Kenneth; brothers, Richard, Charles and Roger Shock; and sister, Sandra Leisure.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Park Church, 207 W Park Ave, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 3091 E 98th St # 240, Indianapolis, IN 46280; and Trinity Park Church, 207 W Park Ave, Greenfield, IN 46140 or envelopes will be available at the church.
