Laura "Jackie" Richwine

May 11, 1924 — September 23, 2025

Laura “Jackie” Lanham Richwine Born May 11, 1924 — Laurel County, Kentucky.

Jackie, the seventh of ten children, graduated from Lily High School in 1942. While working in Cincinnati, she met Lee V. Richwine, a wartime military policeman who monitored troop trains to maintain order. They married on her 21st birthday in Anderson, Indiana, and shared 42 devoted years.

A nurturing mother, Jackie raised Dianna Lee Conrad and Kathrine June Bates, and lovingly embraced Janie Harvey as her own—unofficially adopting her into the family with the same fierce love and care. Her home was a haven of warmth, wisdom, and welcome. Jackie never met a stranger.

She is survived by 7 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Jackie worked over 30 years at Delco Remy.

Faith guided her journey. For eight decades in Anderson, she worshipped at Goodwin Memorial Church of the Nazarene, Columbus Avenue Church of Christ, and Lindburg Road Church of Christ. Her gentle spirit and creative gifts—especially in sewing, quilting, and crocheting—touched countless lives.

A private family service honored a woman whose love stitched generations together.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.

Arrangements were handled by Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
