Lawrence F. Smith

Lawrence F. Smith, 90, of Anderson passed away June 13, 2023, at his home. He was born April 22, 1933, in Wise, Virginia to Charles L. and Alice (Ward) Smith.
Lawrence went to Iowa to pastor a church in the 1960s. He returned to Anderson and went back to Guide Lamp, retiring in 1991. He went on to pastor a church in New Castle, IN. Lawrence was a Full Gospel man of faith.
He was also an avid hunter and would go out west for big game.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Gibbons) Ritenour Smith; daughter, Karen (John) Lawrence; stepson, Danny (Terri) Ritenour; granddaughters, Heather (Dennis) McLeod, and Myka (Joe) Rusnik; great-grandchildren, Zoey McLeod, John Rusnik, and Nicholas Rusnik; four step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony W. Smith; siblings, Leroy, Clifford, and Charlie Smith, Ina Mae Harless, Alene Franks, and Juanita Fowler; and mother of his children, Mildred Smith.
