M. Jeanne Debord-Hanshew

Martha "Jeanne" Hanshew, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, at her home in Speedway, Indiana. She was born June 20, 1939, in Anderson, IN. Jeanne was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles in her spare time. She loved Scrabble, music, and baking pies, but most of all, she loved God and her family.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Rev. Russell R. DeBord ( Shari), Theresa M. Paige, Deborah L. Thomas (Gary), Bradley C. DeBord, and Darla J. Wright. Siblings, Cathy Stamper (David), Betsy Smith, Patricia Burns, Chester Zirkelback (Cheryl), Susan Blackstone, Rita Harvey (Mike). Jeanne is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Raymond and Martha Mae Zirkelback, Denny DeBord, daughter, Denise Kerr, granddaughter, Marisa Wright, grandson, Ryan DeBord, grandson, Carrick DeBord, great-grandson, Nathaniel Hannah, sister Mary Jane Zachary, brothers, Robert and David Zirkelback.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 pm—and the funeral service shall take place on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11:00 am with Rev. Russell R. DeBord officiating. All services will take place at Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 W. 53 St. Anderson, IN. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN. The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Guardian Angel Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
