Martha Lou (Hockenberry) Laughlin, 94, of Anderson passed away on July 17, 2025 at Northview Health and Living following an extended illness.

She was born on March 17, 1931 in Anderson, IN. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1949. She received her associate degree from Indiana Business College.

She worked as a CBX Operator and for the doctor's answering service at St. John's Hospital for 21 years and retired in 2004.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society for 20 years. She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority Xi Chapter and the Victoria Guild. She was a devoted mother to her five children and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children, David (Trish) Laughlin of Greenfield, Marjorie Jeffers of Noblesville, Suzanne (Dr. Zaher Akkad) Laughlin of Paradise Valley, Arizona, Richard Laughlin of Anderson, and Kathleen (Roger) Mingle of Middletown; ten grandchildren, Brandon (Kaleah) Wrin, Brett (Logan) Wrin, Eve (Greg Luke) Gonzales, Gloria Gonzales, Noah (Jade) Laughlin, Adam Akkad, Sophia Akkad, Tessneem Akkad, Laith Akkad, and Clara Mingle; and three great-grandchildren, Saige Wrin, Graham Wrin, and Emeryson Wrin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma J. Hockenberry in 1998.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Tom Metzger officiating. A private burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
