CONVERSE – Martha “Sue” Morrison,81, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by family on February 12, 2024. She was born December 18, 1942 in Ohio City, KY, the daughter of Geneva Brooks and James Thompson.

After Washington High School, Sue married Doyle Morrison and enjoyed 40 years of marriage until his death in 2000. Sue worked a variety of jobs over the years; however, her favorite and most rewarding job has always been being a housewife and raising her children.

Sue enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, Friday night shuffleboard and displaying her skills as the one arm bandit at the casino.

In addition to her husband, Sue was preceded in death by her mother Geneva Brooks, siblings Bob Sutton, Jackie Sutton, Janice Brooks, Peggy Bruske, Billy Brooks and Woody “Junior” Brooks.

Survivors are son Ronnie Morrison (Nannette) Largo, FL, daughter Tamara McDowell ( Jeff Huffer) Amboy, IN , son Lonnie Morrison (Niki) Indianapolis, IN, nephew/son Randy Bruske ( Chris ) Oxford, MI, niece/ daughter Lisa Sailor Kokomo, IN and sister Brenda Brooks of Michigan. Grandchildren Zach Morrison, Erin Morrison, Gabe Morrison, Braniken Adams, Casie Craft, Dalton Morrison, J.D. Morrison, Kennedi Morrison, six great grandchildren; Elexus, Cyler, Kenley, Nyla, Indie and Ronin. Sue also had several nephews and nieces that each had their own favorite story of “Aunt Sue”.

There will be graveside services at 3:00 pm on February 16, 2024 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with a reception of friends and family at Wolfies Grill immediately following the services.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hospice Care.
