Marvella graduated from Anderson High School, class of 1952.
She retired as a data processor for the Madison County Courthouse. She was a lifelong member of Bethany Christian Church.
Marvella is survived by her children, Richard (Debra) Hiles and Darlene Hayden; grandchildren, Jamie (Paul) Halstead, Jessica Hiles, Holli (Omar Martinez) Hayden, Danielle (Coty) Thomas, Jesse Looper, Melissa (Ron) Weaver, Charles (Holly) Hayden III; 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne (Marion) Soverns, Charles Soverns, John (Brenda) Soverns; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Doyle and Mary Elizabeth Soverns, the love of her life, James Ernest Hiles; her beloved son, Russell A. Hiles, siblings, Robert (Dorothy) Soverns, Betty (Mack) Gunter; sisters-in-law, Donna Soverns, and Marie (Albert) Tansler; son-in-law, Charles Hayden Jr.; grandson, Richard Allen Hiles, and father and mother-in-law, Samuel and Hazel Hiles.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN.
Services will be Friday, January 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Paul Halstead officiating.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Church.
