Mary Martha (Porter) Tolle-Grieb, 92, lifetime Anderson resident, passed away following an extended illness on May 7, 2022 at Primrose of Anderson.

She was born on September 5, 1929, in Anderson, the daughter of Frank R. and Elsie M. (Wilson) Porter.

She was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School and attended Anderson Business College. She was later employed by Delco Remy in accounts payable for 18 years. Mary was a long time active member of First Baptist Church in Anderson, member of the Olivet Sunday School Class and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her children; Susie (Mike) Franklin and Steve (Sharon) Tolle; grandchildren; Alissa (Grant) Miller, Steve Tolle, Jr., Brian Tolle, Aaron (Shelby) Franklin, Kelly (Chris) Balich; great grandchildren, Andrew, Jonah, Bella, Fiona, Isla; step-daughters, Cynthia (Charlie) Soden, Michelle (Roger) Drennen, Jennifer Stangle; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert D. Tolle, whom she married August 8, 1948; and her second husband, Sidney “Sande” Grieb, whom she married September 9, 2012.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Anderson. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11-1 prior to the funeral on Monday at the Church. Memorial Contributions may be given to First Baptist Church.
