Max Allen Pinkerton, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 1, 2024, at Life's Journey Hospice, Indianapolis. He was born on October 18, 1930, in New Castle, Indiana.
He served his country in the Navy where he played basketball.
He retired in 1987 as an Engineer for Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 30.5 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and watching Gunsmoke.
Max is survived by his loving spouse of 16 years, Beverly (Cherry) Pinkerton; children, Tim (Barb) Ashburn, Steve (Becky) Pinkerton, Michael Ashburn, Scott (Vikki) Pinkerton, Tammy (Bill) Vukusich, David (Cynthia) Lopossa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Keily; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Katherine Pinkerton and previous wife, Wilma Pinkerton.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 1 pm at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by Rev. Michael Ashburn.
