Melissa "Missy" Dawn Morris

Melissa "Missy" Dawn (Swain) Morris, 53, of Bloomington died peacefully in Hospice Care on May 19, 2025 at Hospice House in Bloomington, IN.

Missy was born October 18, 1971 the daughter of Jim and Marilyn "Joan" (Armstrong) Swain in Anderson, where she graduated from Highland High School. She was a great basketball player.

She was caregiver for Elderly Care. She was also an insurance agent.

Missy is survived by her husband, Walt Morris of Bloomington; her mother, Marilyn "Joan" Swain; her three children, Ashley (Marcus) Swain of Bloomington; Montana (Steve) Washel of Bloomington and Bracken Sheets of Eugene, Oregon; brother, James H. (Jamie) Swain of Anderson; two sisters, Cathy Asbury-Swain of Peoria, Illinois and Beth (Mark) Vandergrift of Anderson; four grandchildren, Jolie, Deacon, Edie and Marvin; many nieces and nephews.

Missy was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Vaught "Butch" Kuhns officiating.
