Melvin G. Hatfield
December 10, 1946 — January 26, 2022
Melvin graduated from Marion High School and earned an associate degree from Ivy Tech in accounting.
Melvin was a long-time member of the Westside Assembly of God in Marion.
He was a retired debt collector for Navient, and was at one time a coin dealer. He was a lifetime member of the American Numismatic Association and a founding member of the Liberty Seated Collectors Club.
Melvin is survived by his loving son, Bill (Melanie) Hatfield of Pendleton; grandchildren, Bryce and Zoe Hatfield; and sister, Patti (Bruce) Everhart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hatfield.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.
Services will follow visitation at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
