Michael E. "Mike" Johnson

Michael E. “Mike” Johnson, 73, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

He was born on May 18, 1953 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Charles and Sarah (Sparks) Johnson. He worked for many years as a school bus mechanic for Frankton- Lapel Schools. In his free time he could always be found boating or jet skiing on the Ohio River. He always had a “project” in the works !

Michael is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Doug) Deffner and two grandchildren, Brea and Braydin Hasty; two sisters, Connie (Dave) Smith and Patty (Jim) Crull; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Michele Arlene (McFadden) Johnson in 2024, and his parents Charles and Sarah Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11 AM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Doug Doan. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4-7 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
