Michelle R. "Shelly" Weatherford

Michelle R. "Shelly" Weatherford (Payne), 53, of Anderson, passed away on May 23, 2024, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 29, 1970, in Havelock, NC.

Shelly graduated from Madison Heights High School and attended the Professional Careers Institute.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and taking walks with her dog, Daisy.

Shelly is survived by her grandma, Monnie Payne; aunts, Faye Hensley and Debbie Whiteman (Bill); and long-time friend, Kerry Portwood, as well as several cousins, friends, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Payne; father, Carl Duane Payne; and grandpa, Carl B. Payne.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, 3:00pm at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery,
