Mildred O. Johnson

Mildred was born August 8, 1935, in Monticello, Kentucky, and had been an Anderson resident since 1956. She graduated from high school in Monticello, Kentucky Class of 1955; Anderson University and received a masters degree in education from Ball State University. She married Robert Paul Johnson of Anderson May 8, 1960.

Mildred was a teacher for Frankton-Lapel Schools for 21 years before her retirement in 1998. She faithfully attended Madison Park Church of God where she volunteered in many different areas of the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Drummond of Anderson; five siblings, Vernon Owens of Richmond, Kentucky, Gary (Joyce) Owens of Monticello, Kentucky, Kenny (Teresa) Owens of Monticello, Kentucky, Buna Greene of Mesa, Arizona and Brenda Dobbs of Monticello, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by, her husband, Robert Paul Johnson in 2018, her parents, Odie and Ila Owens, and several siblings.

Services will be 11 A.M. on Monday, November 21, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Keith Wooden of Ovid Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
