Nancy retired from the Pendleton Reformatory where she supervised the mail room. She also worked for many years as a tax preparer for H&R Block. Nancy was dedicated, hard working and developed many good friendships throughout her work life.
Nancy was strong in her faith. She was a member of East 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church in Anderson for decades where she served as the church secretary. She cherished her church family over the years.

She leaves behind four grandchildren, Brittany (Robert) Crull, Dustin (Miranda) Kempher, Tatum (Jesse) Braden, and Drew DeLey, as well as six great grandchildren, Kain Crull (fiancee, Madison Hanshew), Lola Crull, Shay French, Kyden Kempher, Isabella Braden, and Jonah Braden.
Nancy was the oldest of her siblings and is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Steve) Kempher; her brothers, Robert (Debbie) Thompson, Dannie Thompson, and Roger (Karen) Thompson, along with several nieces and nephews. Nancy also leaves behind many lifelong friends, including her best friend for over 50 years, Nila Hague.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the great love of her life, J.B. Peek, and by her parents, Oscar and Florence Thompson.
The family would like to thank the special staff members at Bridgewater Healthcare Center for the care, concern, and friendship they provided to Nancy in recent years.
