Norma "Jeanne" Pike, 99, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024. She was born on May 5, 1925, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Zola Pearl and Chester Townsend.
Jeanne graduated from Markleville High School with the class of 1943. After graduation, she worked for The Princess Shop downtown Anderson, where she met her husband, Loren "Bud" Pike, and they were happily married for 63 years.
Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She attended Park Road and South Meridian Church of God for several years. She also was a very talented seamstress.
Jeanne is survived by her loving children, Rick (Dianne) Pike and Dawn (Toby) Truex; grandchildren, Derek (Kendra) Pike, Ryan (Mary) Pike, Kortney (Jason) Zagorski, Chad (Kim) Pike, Kylie (Tyler) Smith, and Kristen (Ed) Connor; and great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Hayden, Ethan, Eli, Cameron, Lauren, Caitlin, and Hailey. Also, surviving are her siblings, Gladys Parker, Keith (Dana) Townsend, Janice Winkle, Sally (Ronnie) Nichols, and Sharon (Larry) Hatfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son and daughter-in-law, David and Joyce Pike; and siblings, Dick Townsend, John Townsend, and Susie Norrick.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Cora, Brandy, KeMya, Katie, Mandra, Cindy, and Kandi for all their care, love, and support of mom this past year.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN.
Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Derek Pike officiating.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the donor's charity of choice.
