Patsie Lou Stookey

Patsie Lou "Pat" (Staggs) Stookey, 93, of Anderson entered into her heavenly home on August 17, 2023.

Pat was born on February 3, 1930, in Muncie, Indiana. After graduating from Anderson High School in 1948, Pat married her high school sweetheart, James Stookey. Together, they followed Jesus and set an example in faith for the family they created. Pat was a mother, homemaker and creator of locally renowned wedding cakes for more than 25 years.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Leroy John and Gertrude (Gillespie) Staggs, and her brother, Don Staggs.

She is deeply loved and survived by her three children, Cindy (Paul) Dick, Gayle (John) Noel and Kent (Carol) Stookey, as well as her eight capable grandchildren and eight photogenic great-grandchildren. She was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church in Pendleton. Pat loved her life.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the funeral home.

Funeral will be at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Fall Creek Christian Church.
