Paul A. Ester

He was born on March 28, 1936, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the son of Arthur and Rosena Ester.

Paul graduated from Anderson High School in 1954.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a police officer for the Anderson Police Department having worked in K-9 and reaching the rank of Lieutenant, retiring after 20 years of service. Following his retirement, Paul worked for Pay Less Supermarkets as the head of security, retiring in 2000. He was also a scuba diving instructor.

Paul was a member and Past Master of Masonic Lodge #681 and also was Past Master of Braidentown, Florida, #99.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married June 24, 1978, Nannette (Carr) Ester; daughters, Debra Ester-Heindel, Kathy Ester, Terri Scott, and Angi (Scott) Davidson; grandchildren, Morgan, Stormie, Marty, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Mason, Riley, Eila, and Nuella; brother, Donald (Judy) Ester; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Max.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Glenn (Verna) Ester and Deloris Foist; in-laws, Wilbert and Nedra Carr.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 310 East 53rd Street, Anderson, IN, 46013.

Services will be Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the church with Tim Kean officiating.

Entombment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Madison County Humane Society.
