Phyllis A. Murphy

She was born April 7, 1931, in Anderson to the late, Morton G. & Nellie M. (Hoppes) LeMond. Phyllis retired form GM after 25 years as a staff secretary. She was famous for her hand dipped chocolates and German Chocolate cakes, made with only the best of ingredients.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Murphy; son & daughter-in-law, Daniel & Carol Murphy; grandchildren, Bryan & Samantha Murphy; special friend, Barbara Stevens; and several nieces & nephews. Phyllis was preceded by her husband, Harry S. Murphy, Jr; siblings, Lois White Hardy, John LeMond, Glen LeMond, Florence Ferguson Williams, & Harold LeMond.

Services will be at 1pm Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of services at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Cathy Shaw for the loving care she gave Phyllis.
