Ralph Leroy Ellingwood Jr.

Ralph Leroy Ellingwood Jr. passed away on February 7, 2026 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson.

He was born on August 6, 1945 in Valdosta, Georgia, the son of Ralph Leroy Ellingwood Sr. and Mary Beeson Ellingwood.

Ralph enlisted in the US Army as a Junior in high school and completed his education following his service time. He was an auto technician and the owner of Ralph’s Auto Service in Anderson for 32 years, retiring in April of 2022. With a total of 52 years in the auto repair industry, he appreciated all of his customers, loved the interaction and care he provided them along the way, striving to treat them as his family. He was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Arlene (Webb) Ellingwood, with whom he would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on February 14th; three sons, Scott Ellingwood, Stacy (Suzette Engle) Ellingwood, and Andy Ellingwood; step children Aaron (Janine) Bundy, Aarik (Sandi) Bundy, and Brock (Heather) Bundy; seven grandchildren, Cody Ellingwood, Huston Ellingwood, Paisley and Parker Ellingwood, Taylor Edwards, Ava and Max Bundy; two sisters, Judi (Jerry) Alexander and Nancy (Mel) Jolliff; sister-in-law Trish Ellingwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Gene Flook, and brother, Bob Ellingwood.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 3-6 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors.

Memorial contributions may be given to The Little Red Door Cancer Agency or the charity of the donor’s choice.
