Raymond William Newsom Iii

Raymond William Newsom III, 79, passed away at Anderson St. Vincent Hospital on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

He was born on September 10, 1944 in Anderson to Raymond W. and Della (Clark) Newsom. He had a long career with the United States Air Force and also worked a brief time at Delco Remy. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by children; Nina Newsom Wilson, Richelle V. Newsom, Nigel A. Newsom; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; siblings Nikki J. Newsom, Beverly A. Carter, and Jackie C. Page; companion Marilyn R. Goree.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Newson IV, and two brothers, Roger Lee Newsom and Gregory V. Newsom.

Graveside ceremonies will be held at a later date at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites.
