Richard L. Alkove, 74, of Anderson, passed away on December 31, 2023, in Anderson, IN. He was born on April 17, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois. Rick served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as an Air Traffic Controller. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he continued as an Air Traffic controller for many years. He moved to Anderson, IN, became a Master Electrician, and retired from Madison County as a building inspector. In his free time, he loved to fish, was a scout leader, and working on cars. Rick was very involved in his grandchildren's activities.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Jon) Appolon, son, James (Angela Bush-Alkove) Alkove, daughter, Roberta ( Willie) Priester, son, John Alkove, granddaughter, Autumn Alkove, granddaughter Riley Alkove, granddaughter, Lyndsey ( Sean Addington) Young, grandson, Jordan Young, granddaughter, Arayah Alkove, granddaughter, Abigail Alkove and sister Edith Bradbury.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Alkove, father, Morris Alkove, and mother, Bernice Debusk.
