Robert E. Swango

Robert E. Swango, 94, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on
September 16th, 2026.
He was born on September 27th, 1931, in Aurora, Indiana and resided most of his life in
Anderson, IN. He retired from Delco Remy in 1991 after 42 years of service and served in
the Army 101st Airborne 25th Division in Korea. He enjoyed watching western films, tinkering
in his garage, going to Nascar, and playing UNO. He was a family man who loved spending
time with his grandchildren and friends.
Robert is survived by his sons Kevin A. Swango (Melissa)of Pendleton and Robert G.
Swango of Anderson; stepson, Rick, stepdaughter-in-law Sue; grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler,
Farah, Elisha, Nathan, Kelli, and Kim; several great and great-great grandchildren; his care
takers who he adored, Krystle and Martha; and his best friend, Marty, and his wife Cherie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Jean Swango, his mother and father Blanche
and William Swango, his son Roger Swango, brother Paul Swango, and stepson Darrell
Richards.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22nd 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Robert Loose Funeral
Home and Crematory 200 West 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013.
Service will be Tuesday, September 22nd at 1:00 PM with Randy Jones officiating.
Burial will take place following the service at Anderson Memorial Park.
