Robert Eugene Young

Robert "Bob" Eugene Young, age 89 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 24, 1934, in Tipton, IN to Paul Kenneth Young and Madeline (Rayls) Young. He was a member of Whetstone Christian Church in Anderson, IN for many years, where he married his wife, Sue Lynn Young. Bob loved to travel with his wife and children to Dale Hollow Lake where his heart would always lead him. He settled there after retiring as a Draftsman at General Motors. He was a member of Byrdstown First Baptist Church and volunteered for twenty years for Pickett County Fire Department.
Robert is survived by his wife: Sue Lynn (Maguire) Young; daughters: Vickie Young-Jones (Christopher), Willa Young-Ballentine; sons: Mark Young (Susan), Michael Young (Kimberly); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as three great-great-grandchildren; sister: Jolene Rayle.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Madeline Young and his son-in-law, Paul Ballentine.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory with visitation two hours prior.
Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
