Rosalee Carle-Garrison

MUNICE - Rose Carle Garrison (Tiplady), 84, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Westminster Village.

Rose was born December 27, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio. She moved to Anderson in 1962 after marrying Donald Carle. Rose was a stay-at-home mom to sons David, Don, and Doug. She served on the Southview PTA and her home was a revolving door to the boys’ friends. Rose was first a member of Park Road Church of God and later at South Meridian Church of God. Her beloved husband, Donald passed away in 1986.

In 1993, Rose married Jack Garrison and moved to Gaston. Rose and Jack wintered in Estero, Florida where she enjoyed attending church, riding her bike, and playing tennis. They played on tennis teams both in Florida and at the YMCA in Muncie until Jack’s death in 2017. Rose was active at Prairie Grove Church and then at Living Hope Christian Church. After moving to Yorktown in 2015, Rose attended Grace Baptist. She did not know a stranger and always greeted everyone with a huge smile.

Rose is survived by her children, Donald (Darla) Carle of Anderson and Doug Carle of Cicero, Rocky Carle of Warsaw, Debbie (Chuck) Cooper of Yorktown, Mike (Lisa) Garrison of Gaston, and Brad (Karen) Garrison of Cincinnati; her grandchildren, Christopher and Kyle Teague, Justin (Ashley) Carle, Zachary, Kayla and Claire Carle, Holly (Joe) Journay, Tyler (Taylor) Garrison, Darin (Mallory) Garrison, Devin (Chelsea) Garrison, and Sarah, Julia, Katherine, Benjamin and Josiah Garrison; and several great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by two husbands, Donald Carle and Jack Garrison; son, David Carle; daughter-in-law Carrie Carle; and grandson, Kevin Carle.

Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Cremation will take place and private burial will be held at a later date in Anderson Memorial Park.

Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023.
