Rosemary Wakefield

Rosemary Wakefield, 90, of Anderson, passed away on April 23, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. Rosemary was born on August 30, 1932 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Jesse and Bertha (Moore) Taylor. She attended and graduated from Bridgeton High School. Soon after graduating, she married the love of her life, Charles Wakefield, on July 16, 1952. She was a devoted housewife and loved raising her children. Rosemary enjoyed cross stitching, painting, scrolling Facebook on her tablet, collecting spoons, and coloring.

Rosemary will be dearly missed by her children, Tim Wakefield and Susan (Steve) Ruthig; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur-baby, Eli.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

The visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Wilson St. Pierre-Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State Street, Pendleton 46064. The funeral ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park.
