Russell Isaacs Sr.

Russell Isaacs Sr., 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away October 23, 2022, at the Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on August 29, 1930, as one of fifteen children to Frank and Maranda (McQueen) Isaacs.

He graduated from Tyner High School in 1947 and married his sweetheart, Wanda Eubank, in 1949, after she graduated high school. They shared seventy-three years together, raised two children, and watched as their family grew to five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Russell worked for Sears for forty-three years, dedicating his life to one job and eventually moved up to Regional Credit Manager before he retired in 1989 at the age of 59.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; his son, Russell Isaacs Jr.; daughter, Maranda Van Waning; brother, Dallas (Eileen) Isaacs; sisters, Bea Andrews and Janette (Al) Lehmeyer; five grandchildren, Abby Mazza, Christopher Van Waning, Matthew Van Waning, Nathan Vinger, and Lauren Wyss; and seven great-grandchildren, Sam Mazza, Nora Mazza, Mason Van Waning, Kate Van Waning, Cameron Vinger, Addy Wyss, and Elliott Wyss.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Maranda; and eleven siblings.

A celebration of life has already taken place. Neptune Society is in charge of cremation arrangements.
