Sandra Kay "Sandy" (Rigdon) Duggleby, 81, of Anderson passed away at her home on June 19, 2026.

She was born on August 21, 1944 in Anderson, IN to Hubert E. and Lillian L. (Surpas) Rigdon.

Having worked at Bert T. Owens Ice Cream in Elwood, where she met her husband, John, she later ran a Home Day Care, through which she lovingly cared for children of all ages for over 40 years.

She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church where she was active in the card ministry, Sunday school, driving the church bus, puppet ministry and was President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and helping others.

She is survived by her two children, Lynn (Jeff) King of Anderson and Michael Duggleby of Perrysburg, OH; two sisters, Earlene Swan and Cindy Alfrey; five grandchildren, Skylar King, Kylynn King, Kemmon Duggleby, Lilly Duggleby, and Laney Duggleby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John M. Duggleby; three sisters, Connie Schildtkneect, Patsy McCune, and Linda Dotson; and a brother, Hubert Rigdon, Jr.

Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Robert Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
