Shane Tyler Ellingwood, 2 months old, of Indianapolis, passed peacefully in the loving arms of his parents on July 8, 2026.
Shane was the cherished son of Brandon Ellingwood and Kaleigh Ray of Indianapolis.
In his brief but deeply meaningful life, Shane touched countless hearts with his strength and courage.
He is survived by his best big brother, Kenny; maternal grandmother, Heather Winemiller; paternal grandparents, Shane Ellingwood and Joy Ellingwood; maternal great-grandmother, Kathy Kissick; paternal great-grandparents, Barbara Kemp (Roger) and Dan Ellingwood (Jackie); maternal aunt, Jane Lewellyn, and cousins, Kassidy and Jenny Lewellyn; paternal aunt and uncle, Blake Buck (Shawnae), Brittany Ellingwood (Willie); along with several loving cousins and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, 6805 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Anderson, Indiana 46013. The service will be officiated by Father Tom of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and staff at Franciscan Health and Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Their exceptional care, kindness, and unwavering support throughout Shane’s journey brought comfort during the most difficult of times and will never be forgotten.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Shane’s life was filled with love. He will forever be treasured in the hearts of all who knew him.
