Sharon Sue Williams

November 22, 1943 — March 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts, and deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and Mamaw, Sharon Sue Williams. Sharon went home to be with Jesus on March 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her husband and family.

Sharon was a remarkable woman whose strength, grace, energy, and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a generous heart and a one-of-a-kind spark that made every gathering brighter and every moment more joyful. She was also a proud member of Soroptimist International for the last 8 years, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.

She found great joy in thrifting, decorating, and sharing her favorite hidden treasures and special places with friends and family. Some of her happiest moments were spent by the beach listening to the ocean, searching for seashells, admiring flamingos, and enjoying the occasional margarita with the people she loved most.

Born on November 22, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana, Sharon was the daughter of Doris and Harold Bloomer. From an early age, she carried a deep passion for life and a joyful spirit, always embracing every opportunity to laugh, celebrate, and create lasting memories.

Her life was marked by courage, humor, strength, and incredible resilience, especially during her nearly two-year battle with cancer. She faced each day with determination, grace, and the same vibrant spirit that defined her life. Sharon was deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from Dr. Reddy, Dr. Fisher, and their dedicated teams at MD Anderson Cancer Center, whose kindness and support meant so much to her and her family.

Sharon is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 49 years, John R. Williams, and her cherished children: Tamra Roberts Brown, Kevin R. Roberts, John D. (Lisa) Williams, and Chad (Tisha) Williams.

Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Matthew (Robyn) Brown, Lauren (Brandon) Krieger, Lacie (Nathan) Witty, Ashley (Ben) Smiley, Taylor Williams, and Tyler Williams. She was also a proud and loving Mamaw to her precious great-grandchildren: Luke and Owen Brown, Theodore Witty, Lennox, Lakynn, and Wyatt Smiley.

She is also survived by her sister, Diane (Mike) Robeton.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Harold Bloomer; her sisters, Shirley Parde and Lana Hendrickson; her brothers, Jerry Bloomer and Rex Bloomer; and her beloved granddaughter, Amber Williams.

A private ceremony will be held for immediate family. A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and loved ones can gather to share memories and honor the joy she brought to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Sharon’s memory to the American Cancer Society.

“Her love lives on in every life she touched, and her light will forever guide our hearts.”
