Shelby Jean Bradford, 85, passed away peacefully in her Kennesaw, Georgia home on June 13th with her husband and children by her side. Shelby is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Shelby was born on October 20, 1940, in Kennett, Missouri, the fourth daughter of the late Jewel Norman and Nell Louise Wallace. The family moved to Indiana in her childhood, and she, along with her five children, moved to Georgia in 1976.
Shelby retired from Lockheed Martin, in Marietta, Georgia after 15 years of service. Her life was defined by her devotion to family and friends. Shelby was an exceptional cook and enjoyed entertaining and interior design. She created a beautiful and welcoming home for her family and friends.
Shelby is survived by her devoted husband, John Robert Bradford, of Kennesaw Georgia; her daughter, Kellie Singh, of Bear River, Nova Scotia; her son, Greg Ratliff, of Acworth, Georgia; her grandchildren, Amber Roszina of Cartersville, Georgia, Victoria Ratliff, of Greenwood, Indiana; Zach Ratliff of Greenfield, Indiana; great grandchildren, Lennon Roszina and Morrison Roszina; her sister, Janice Taylor of Anderson, Indiana, stepchildren Cathy and Phil Bradford, and nieces and nephews. Shelby was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Eckard, her daughter, Kerrie Bonham, her son, Chris Ratliff, her grandson Derrick Ratliff, and her two sisters Nita Wilson-Butler and Shirley Weiler.
A small family service will be held at Anderson Memorial Cemetery in Anderson Indiana where she will be placed in a niche next to her three deceased children and grandson. We will carry our love for Shelby in our hearts forever.
