Shirley Louise (Detienne) Drake, 76, of Anderson, passed away after a short battle with lymphoma on April 30, 2022, at Community Hospital in Anderson . She was born on June 22, 1945, in Anderson, Indiana, where she resided all of her life.

Shirley was a loving wife and mother. She liked to cook for her family and friends, and she relaxed by watching cooking and home makeover shows. Shirley was one of kind. She was very honest and did not hold back her feelings, and once you knew her, you loved her. We are going to miss her!

Shirley is survived by her loving children, Diane Wilder, Deborah Hopper, Edward Drake, and Lawrence Drake; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are two sisters, four brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Drake; parents, Edward L. and Sarah L. (Hudson) Detienne, and two sisters.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 6, 2022, 1:00 pm at Anderson Memorial Park, 6805 Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., Anderson, IN 46013.
