Stephen V. “Steve” Aldred, 82, of Anderson passed away on March 20, 2025 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.

He was born on September 22, 1942 in Anderson, IN to the late of Glen and Rebecca Aldred. He was a 1960 graduate of Anderson High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964.

He worked production at Delco Remy for 31 ½ years and retired on October 1, 1999. He was a member of the UAW 663. He volunteered at Community Hospital in Anderson following his retirement.

He was a member at Redeemer Baptist Church. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing golf and watching sports especially IU Basketball and Indianapolis Colts, He was a longtime member of the Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge and TOPS for 10 years.

He is survived by his two children, Suzanne (Adrian) Heard of Daytona Beach, FL and Scott Aldred of Georgia; a stepson, Scott Flowers of Alexandria; a sister, Suda Lucas of Chillicothe, Ohio; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Aldred, Samantha (Jordan) McDaniel, Kaytlynn (Caleb) Williams, Jacob Flowers, and Nicholas Flowers; one great-grandchild, Evelynn McDaniel; a special niece, Allison Bannister of Indianapolis and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Aldred; his mother, Rebecca (Hiday) Davis; his wife, Dianna K. Aldred; his daughter, Amy Lynn Aldred; a stepson, Bobby Lee Flowers; and a brother, Dwight Aldred.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Redeemer Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Storm officiating. The burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Redeemer Baptist Church.
