Stephen Dale Chapman

Stephen Dale Chapman of Anderson passed away on Feb. 2, 2023. Steve was born in Anderson on April 22, 1947, to Charles Chapman and Louella Irene Mousa Chapman. He was an accomplished musician in the Anderson High School Band, from where he graduated in 1965. He attended multiple undergraduate classes at Indiana University and Ball State University. His life's work was in the financial sector; commodity futures, insurance, tax and financial planning. Steve committed a substantial portion of his life to the Masonic Lodge, serving at various officer's posts at Fellowship #681 Lodge in Anderson and at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis. He was honored to have conferred upon him the 33rd Degree. Steve is survived by daughter, Gina Veazy (Donald) of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; brother, David Chapman (Nancy) of Fort Worth, Texas; several nieces and a nephew; and many cousins. A graveside memorial service will be held at Anderson Memorial Park on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at noon.
