Stephen Scott Childers

Stephen Scott Childers, 81, of Montgomery, Texas and formerly from Anderson, Indiana, passed away September 7, 2025, at his personal care home in Montgomery, Texas. He was born on November 21, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana.

He retired from The Anderson Parks Department and served briefly in the Indiana National Guard.

He is survived by his sister, Christina Childers-Parron of Montgomery, Texas; two nephews, Ross Dilts and Jordan Dilts; niece, Ariana Dilts; great neices, Iyana McKinley and Imari Dilts and great nephew, Zion Okwedui.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Emery (Chilli) Childers.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm, at Shadyside Memorial Park under the main stone pavillion, 1112 Broadway Ave. Anderson, IN 46016.

Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
