He served his country in Vietnam and through Steve’s years as a pilot, he loved spending time with his family, traveling to spend time at their property, in West Virginia. After over 27 years and ascending to Lieutenant Colonel, Steve retired from the Air Force. His career did not end there, he continued his work with the government as a consultant for many years.
He enjoyed his membership as a Scottish Rite of the Freemasons that he started whilst living in Nebraska. He was a woodworker, avid hunter and fisherman, and expert heavy equipment operator. He loved his backhoe. He cherished his family and friends. Steve was a lifelong friend. He was supportive of his wife’s endeavors, always offering rationale when needed.
He will truly be missed by Peggy (Johnson), his wife; his children, Jody Stahl, Stacey LaPoint, Heather Weber, and Wendy (Jerry) Feldstein; grandchildren, Tyler McCormick, Ashley Dodd, Sabrina Boyce, Katrina Boyce, Satori Guraedy, Jacob Weber, Emma Weber, and Darbi Stahl.
