Teresa A. Driggers

Teresa A. Driggers, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at her home in the Lawrence neighborhood. Born March 25, 1960, in Anderson, Indiana, she was a 1978 graduate of Anderson High School and later attended the Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. She went on to earn degrees from Indiana Central University and Indiana Wesleyan University.

Teresa devoted her life to education, ministry, and youth development. She served as a Christian school educator in Frankfort, IN, substitute teacher at Calvary Christian School, Indianapolis, IN and spent decades working with nonprofit organizations in Indianapolis as a mentor, college and career coach, and grant writer. Known for her sharp wit, warm humor, and love of a good prank, she was also a faithful member of Calvary Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Allen Driggers, Sr. and Alberta Louise Driggers. Survivors include her brother, Dave Driggers, Jr. (Patricia) of Tazewell, Tennessee; nephews Jared Driggers (Jeanna, and son Nolan) of Barcelona, Spain, and Michael Sims; niece Jessica Driggers of Anderson; along with extended family, friends, and former students.

A celebration of life will be held October 10th at Calvary Tabernacle, 902 Fletcher Ave., Indianapolis, in the Legacy Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m.
