Thelma Eugene Bowmer

She was born on August 8, 1937 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to Willis and Dora Lee (Stafford) Petty. She retired in production from Brockway Glass. She loved frogs, gardening, camping, and doing crafts.

She is survived by her three grandchildren, Kenny (Sarah) Bowmer II, Daniel (Jennifer) Bowmer, and Staci (Dustin Gentry) Riddle; 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; a stepson, Bobbie (Karen) Bowmer; four sisters, Bea Carter, Patsy Petty, Elizabeth “Liz” (Faye) Cherry and Martha Lewis; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Riddle and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ricky Bowmer and Kenny Bowmer; two brothers, Billy and Whitey Petty; three granddaughters, Lisa Marie Bowmer, Glena Sue Thomas and Brenda Thomas; two great-grandsons, Deven Bowmer and Sid Kocher; and a daughter-in-law, Vickie Bowmer.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Don Billey officiating.
