Thelma Lajane Tucker

In 1961, she married Robert E. "Bobby" Tucker. Janie was a 1962 graduate of Madison Heights High School.

Janie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing Aggravation, Rummikub, and croquet. She and her husband also enjoyed visiting bed and breakfasts in northern Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Pauline Hook Paschael, and her brother-in-law, Dennis Huevel.

Janie is survived by her daughter, Kim Knight (Jim); her grandson, Jonathan Hunter Knight; her adopted daughter, Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry (Ed); her adopted granddaughters, Michal and Kezia Scherer-Berry; her sisters, Martha "Toni" Harless, Elizabeth Hudson; her sister-in-law, Tanya Huevel; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with Rev. Ed Scherer-Berry officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
