ZEPHRYHILLS, Fla. — Thomas "Tom" D. Harmeson went home to God on March 13, 2022.
He was born on July 1, 1942, in Anderson, Indiana. He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1960. He was drum major all four years for the marching band.
Tom attended Indiana University until 1963. He worked 44 years as an internal auditor for American General Finance.
He enjoyed spending time traveling with his wife of 59 years and visiting family. He was an avid golfer and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Donald H. Harmeson in 2003, his mother, Ida Mae (Avery) Harmeson in 2019; and his aunts, Nondas Kessler and Martha Jean McGranahan, Mary Gray and Margaret Patterson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon K. (Myers) Harmeson; aunt, Ann (Harmeson) Hardacre; brother, Neil Harmeson (Kim); children, Donald "Chip" Harmeson (Vicki), Krista Graham (Kenny), Karyl Harmeson, Derek Harmeson; grandchildren, Krystia Farmer (Mike), Andrew Harmeson (Samantha), Britney Moullett, Matthew Graham; three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Services were conducted in Florida by the Whitfield Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Anderson with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
