Violet M. Looper

Violet M (Jones) Looper, 89, long time Anderson resident, passed away at Lake in the Hills, Illinois on July 20, 2023.

She was born on July 9, 1934 in Putnam County, Tennessee, the daughter of Ernest and Cecil (Matheney) Jones. She was a homemaker and member of 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church. Violet enjoyed family gatherings, reading and crocheting.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Tish Looper ; five grandchildren, Jesse Looper, Mathew (Heather) Looper, Ryne (Ashleigh) Looper, Braden Looper, Ethan Looper; four great grandchildren, Grant, Emily, Brooke, Bria.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Braden; son, David Looper; sister, Emogene Craig; brothers, Joseph, James and Billy Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11 AM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Pastors Mark Sluss and Eric Fox.

Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the funeral.

Memorial contributions may be given to 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church.
