Noblesville, IN - Wanda Lee Talbott Baumgartner, 88, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Riverwalk Village, Noblesville, IN. Born on June 24, 1935, she was the sixth child of seven children born to Herschel Edgar (Edd) Bessie Thomas Talbott. She graduated from Spiceland High School in 1955 and began working in the accounting department of Modernfold Doors in New Castle immediately. After she married Joe Lee Baumgartner on June 16, 1963, they moved to Anderson, IN, where she then worked in the office of McDonald Furniture Store before she became the office manager of Hilltop Apartment Complex, where she worked for many years. Later she worked in the office ten years for Mustin Builders and was a familiar face to shoppers at the Anderson Cracker Barrel Restaurant gift shop for 28 years. Wanda was a member of First Christian Church in Anderson and later attended East Lynn Christian Church closer to her home. Besides working often two jobs at a time, she also was a devoted caregiver of her husband who was seriously ill for 28 years until he passed away in January 2010.
Survivors include her sister, Juanita Talbott Harger (James T), Noblesville, IN; and several nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband of 47 years; 5 siblings, James Cletis Talbott, Marie Talbott Ellis, Willie Albert Talbott, Hall Keen Talbott, and Norman Edgar Talbott.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, IN. Rev. Steve DeFields-Gambrell will officiate the service immediately following at the funeral home, with burial at Anderson Memorial Park, Anderson.
