Following retirement, Bill kept busy as a real estate agent and car salesman. He and his wife Shirley enjoyed hosting family at a property they owned near Brookville Lake.
In addition, Bill was a member of the UAW Local 662, the Pendleton American Legion Post 117 and the Tri-County Golf Club. He enjoyed sports-football, basketball, and baseball, as well as golfing and boating. Bill also enjoyed coaching his son’s Little League baseball teams and was an avid Indiana University and Chicago Bears fan.
Bill is survived by sons: Jeff Curts of Pendleton, Michael (Sara Fleury) Curts of Indianapolis, son-in-law Michael Eacret of Markleville; grandchildren: Tucker Curts, Connor Curts (Megan McCarren), Erin Eacret and Paige (Brandon) Collins; great granddaughter Katherine Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Wills) Curts, daughter Cathy Eacret, his parents, and siblings Betty Staines, Jim Curts and Ronnie Curts.
A funeral to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton American Legion Post 117 611 W. State Street Pendleton, IN 46064.
